LIDAX

The company LIDAX was founded in early 2000 through the initiative of a group of engineers with vast experience in the aerospace sector, in both research centres and private activity.

LIDAX activities are focused primarily in space and scientific sectors such as opto-mechanicals in a cryogenic environment, but has the ability to undertake engineering design and development for multiple applications.

LIDAX currently owns two offices, both with a floor area of 200m2, situated in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid-SPAIN)and within easy reach of the Madrid-Barcelona C-N II Main A-Road (exit at KM 23).

LIDAX has concentrated all of its integration and tests installations in a single laboratory placed at the Scientific and Technologic Park of University of Alcalá de Henares (PCTUA of the UAH), and commercially named SMARTLAB (Space Mechanisms and Cryogenic Testing Laboratory).

LIDAX develops Advanced Mechanical Systems to meet the specific requirements of their clients in their sector of activity.

  • High performance structures. LIDAX is a specialist in the development of structures, where the typical requirements of stress & strength and specific stiffness are combined with other properties of precision mechanical systems for aerospace or scientific instrumentation applications.
  • Positioning mechanisms. LIDAX specializes in mechanisms with one or more degrees of freedom, offering complete and tailored solutions to meet the needs of their clients. Although these areas can encompass a wide range of equipments, LIDAX specialises in the following fields:
    • Opto-mechanical systems: Optimised systems for minimising displacement under static, dynamic or thermo-elastic loads, taking into account limitations of mass, fabrication, and others.
    • Special mechanisms: The problematic of displacement and/or rotation systems adds additional demands to purely structural design. LIDAX approaches the design of a mechanism from a global perspective, offering complete solutions that take into account jointly all the applicable requirements (functionality, special operating conditions - vacuum or cryogenic -, control electronics, cabling, etc.).
