IXION Industry & Aerospace S.L.

IXION Industy & Aerospace was formerly the Industry& Aerospace Business Unit of TCP Sistemas e Ingenieria. TCP Sistemas e Ingenieria is a large (>400 employees) company providing services and software development in IT for large Spanish companies (Telefónica, Banco Santander) for more than 15 years.

The Aerospace Business Unit has been segregated from TCP in October 2011, incorporating new shareholders so that the new company is fully independent SME. Therefore, IXION has received all the assets from the Industry & Aerospace Business Unit of TCP, including all its current staff, technical assets, frameworks, software and equipment.

IXION has developed a substantial background (more than 10 years) in working in Aeronautics and Space programs, especially with ESA (European Space Agency). In the last 5 years, new business lines have been opened in Aeronautics, ATM and Unmanned Vehicles (UAVs and UGVs), also applicable to some industrial domains. The Aerospace Division has always had a strong involvement in R&D activities and innovative technologies.

IXION has defined 6 main lines of activity with the mission of providing increasingly intelligent and autonomous system and to serve the growing society needs of automation, especially in the fields of Industry , Transport and Science; providing to customers state-of-the-art and best quality products and services. These lines are:

Advanced M&C Systems: Supervisory Systems: Aimed at the development of Virtual Control Centers and advanced M&C applications for ground segment infrastructures. They span from power-plants or general purpose building services to specialized systems for the management of antennas and full ground stations, Ground Support Equipment and Test Benches.

Aerospace Systems: Development of On-board SW Applications for the Aeronautic and Space Industry. IXION works in the whole development cycle of Critical SW under the strict certification standards within this industries and including the following applications: Avionics, Aeronautic Control Systems, Scientific Instrumentation Control, Autonomous navigation, Computer Vision based Systems.

Unmanned Vehicles: Aimed at the development of autonomous robotic systems (like, for example UGVs and UAVs) for a wide range of applications. This line is supported by a multidisciplinary engineering team with extensive background and expertise in robotics, avionics and on-board software for advanced control systems.

Vision Based Surveillance Systems: IXION has a vast experience in the development of Computer Vision Systems for autonomous navigation and mission oriented systems. Outside those applications, our offer goes from the development of computer vision algorithms, to the supply of turn-key systems for safety, security and preventive maintenance applications.

ATM Systems: IXION develops advanced HMI solutions for ATM Systems accomplishing with last Eurocontrol Requirements (i.e. AIXM5) and provide solutions for ATM Systems in both strategic (Planning) and tactical (Conflict Resolution) levels.

Manufacturing and Industrial Automation: IXION is currently involved in R&D activities to transfer technology from our autonomous vehicles and solutions in the aerospace industry to industrial robotics and manufacturing automation.

IXION builds its commitment with self-improvement through its Research & Development investment. Our vision is to offer more efficient products and services: (1) Combining products with the highest automation levels with the required industrial standards, (2) Incorporating the most advanced technologies in carefully engineered and mission oriented products, and (3) Achieving the optimal combination of human resources and technology.
